Wisconsin is among the top 25% of states reporting high incidence of Lyme disease cases. Lyme disease has been reported in every county in Wisconsin, highest incidence in the northwestern region. The majority of reported Lyme disease cases occur between May and August. June 14 is Flag Day and was established in 1949 as a national holiday, but not a federal holiday. It is only an official holiday in the state of Pennsylvania which is where according to legend Betsy Ross sewed the first flag.
